As someone who cooks almost every night, I love to find kitchen tools that truly make my life easier. Here are five I am loving at the moment!
1. Gravity Automatic Electric Salt & Pepper Shakers

Honestly, I’m shocked at how long it took me to jump on this trend, but I am new to the electric spice grinder game. I love these because you can use them one-handed so they don’t get sticky if you have one wet or messy hand. They also perfectly distribute the salt and pepper in an even way. Not to mention they’re fun!
2. Hamilton Beach 3-Cup Mini Food Processor

I bought this in a pinch while I was in the middle of a cross-country move and living somewhere temporary while we waited to close on our house. I had very few cooking supplies with me but was determined to continue to cook at least a little to maintain some semblance of normalcy while feeling a little displaced. It was kind of a miserable time. Honestly, I chose this model because it was cheap, small, and I figured if it wasn’t great I could just get rid of it once I finally had my own stuff back. To my surprise, this little thing packs quite a punch! It’s great for salsas, chimichurri, and pesto. The press down function makes it super easy to use and it’s chopped through anything I’ve thrown into it just fine. Honestly you can’t beat it for the price!

My grandmother is so passionate about this knife that she has gifted me two just to be sure I had one. I eat a lot of tomatoes and cook with a lot of tomatoes and there is no other knife for the job of slicing tomatoes. The strategically placed serrations cut smoothly through the skin without causing the tomato to crush, burst, or lose flavor. I know it sounds niche but I cannot recommend this knife enough!

An immersion blender is one of the most versatile and useful tools in the kitchen. These are great for soups, sauces, salad dressing, and aoili. I recently upgraded to the Breville version because my original KitchenAid immersion blender broke. I am finding that the Breville version is more powerful and has more speed settings and attachment options than my old one.

I love a salad bowl with a lid. Just throw all of your salad ingredients in the bowl, drizzle over with your dressing, then put the lid on and shake until you have a perfectly tossed salad. I love that this one has inserts for your serving utensils. I also prefer a wooden lid because you can use the underside as a quick cutting board in a pinch!
Those are my top 5 for now. What are some kitchen items you can’t live without?
